Op 13 & 14 mei organiseert de schermclub KSSMA Ronse opnieuw het Belgisch Kampioenschap Schermen in sportcomplex ’t Rosco in Ronse.
Sinds 1815 is de schermclub onafgebroken actief als promotor van de schermsport in de Vlaamse Ardennen. Tot eind jaren ’70 was de club gehuisvest in Oudenaarde. Vandaag gaan de trainingen door in The Loft en ’t Rosco in Ronse.
Schermen kent van oudsher 3 disciplines: floret, degen en sabel. Niettegenstaande de club zich de voorbije decennia heeft gespecialiseerd op degen, zullen op het Belgisch Kampioenschap de 3 wapens aan bod komen.
Wie gebeten wordt door de microbe, door bijvoorbeeld Zorro, kan vanaf de leeftijd van 9 jaar aansluiten bij de club. Schermen daagt de sporter op vele vlakken uit: conditioneel, technisch, tactisch, … Het is de duelsport bij uitstek die niet zonder reden ook wel eens ‘Physical Chess’, of fysiek schaken wordt genoemd. Wie jong is, haalt voordeel uit zijn snelheid en explosiviteit. Met de jaren wordt er meer voordeel gehaald uit ervaring en strategisch inzicht.
Op 13 & 14 mei zullen ook enkele schermers uit onze club deelnemen, namelijk Rayan en Maëlle bij de U13 en Matthias, Linus, Thybe en Dries bij de U15.

Zondag 14 mei – floret, degen en sabel – U15
Telkens van 10u00 tot rond 16u
